What we never ask for
- Your address
- Where you keep anything
- Bank details, Aadhaar or PAN
- Your phone number
- Photos of your things
All we keep if you turn on backup
- A scrambled ID from Google, not your name or email
- The sealed box
- The date it was last saved
Without backup, we keep nothing at all.
If something goes wrong
- I lost my phone.
- Sign in on the new one and unlock with your passphrase. Everything comes back.
- I forgot my passphrase.
- Use the recovery code you wrote down when you turned on backup.
- I lost both.
- Then your backup cannot be opened by anyone, including us. Anything still on your phone keeps working, and so does any file you saved. We would rather tell you now than later.
- Tolabook shuts down.
- Download your list as a file whenever you like. It is yours and it opens without us.
- I want it all gone.
- One button deletes your account and your sealed box from our servers, straight away.
- Is this a bank locker?
- No. Tolabook keeps a record. Your things stay wherever you keep them, and we never ask where that is.
Every rate comes with its working.
Our rates are estimates, worked out from the international price, the rupee and import duty. We show the sum, the source and the time on every number, because a figure nobody can check is not worth trusting.
